Lanterns, squid and a very full bucket

Our Moonlight Drift turned into a squid party under the deck lights, with a surprise swordfish bite near midnight.

Night Heron anchored up on the edge of the channel just after sunset. With the deck lanterns on, the bait started gathering within twenty minutes, and the squid were right behind it.

Six guests filled two buckets on squid jigs. Around 11:30 the deep rod went off and something heavy took 200 meters of line before throwing the hook. Captain Tomas is sure it was a swordfish. We will be back for it.

It is the most relaxed trip we run. Calm water, warm drinks and the city lights on the horizon.

Moonlight Drifts run on the darker nights around the new moon, when the lights draw bait best. Check the moon icons on the booking calendar to choose your night.
